The Purpose of Studying Geography

The reason that we study geography is so that we may have knowledge of the place that we live, both exact and relative, in order that this knowledge might lead to understanding, and understanding to appreciation. Though we may be confined to one place or if we are let loose throughout the world, we all share one planet, one earth, one home.
