( sorry for always asking you to correct my sentence….)
I hope this will be the last time…

    The Gift of the Magi

The couple, who sold their most precious things to buy the christmas presents to each other, realized that the presents are no longer usable because they lost their precious thing which works with the christmas present.

Sir could you help correct my summary?

Both Della and Jim gave up their most preaciuos things to buy each other Christmas presents, but in the end they are wise enough to keep their own presents.

Regina, It’s not that the sentence isn’t good. It is good (check spelling on precious though). However, I don’t think you have the resolution correct. Why don’t you take another look at it and see what you can come up with.

Sir, If you have time, please correct mine too. ^^

Della and jim sacrificed their most precious things, Della’s hair and Jim’s watch, in order to give each other Christmas presents.

    Changes

Della and j[J]im sacrificed their most precious things, Della’s hair and Jim’s watch, in order to give each other Christmas presents [put here something about the twist ending].

    Changes

Della and Jim sold their precious things [in secret] to buy each other Christmas presents, but at [in] the end they found [received] nothing because they [had already] lost [given up] their most precious things.

Really though, you did a great job with this sentence. The changes that I am suggesting are not totally necessary. Good job!

Sorry to bother you Sir, but can you please give some correction to my summary ?

    The Gift of The Magi
Both Della and Jim sold their precious stuff to buy Christmas gifts for each other, but in the end they both realized that they lost their most precious stuff for something that is unnecessary.

    Changes

Both Della and Jim sold their precious stuff [things] to buy Christmas gifts for each other, but in the end they both realized that they lost their most precious stuff [things] for something that is unnecessary[was ultimately worthless].
